- [Instructor] Let's now look, at more advanced troubleshooting techniques, which can be used to pinpoint which part of the Windows Autopilot process is failing. Before we get into the specifics, one of the most common issues I've encountered when troubleshooting the Windows Autopilot process is patience. Some of the background processes such as the background assignment processing, can take several minutes to complete, and you cannot speed this up. Log files can be useful in identifying the specific cause of a Windows Autopilot problem. For example, problems with profile settings and the OOBE, are recorded in event log entries. You can review the log entries using the Windows Event Viewer. The logs are located in application and services logs, Microsoft, Windows, provisioning and diagnostics-provider, and then Autopilot.
