Join Scott Peterson for an in-depth discussion in this video Agenda, part of Developing UWP Apps: 6 Multimedia and Printing.
- [Instructor] As with most of the topics in this series, we can devote entire sessions to any one of these specific technologies and services, but in order to get you up and running quickly, we're going to cover some of the more common scenarios that developers run into when integrating these tools and technologies into their apps. First we're going to cover audio playback, and powerful concepts like text-to-speech audio, and then we'll have a little fun with audio effects and walk through real-world examples of integrating audio into your apps. Then we're going to jump into video and advanced video techniques, working with things like the transport controls and customizing transport controls, and even dabble a little bit into face tracking and face detection.
And then we'll follow that up with some printing concepts. There's a little bit of confusion for developers on the actual flow of printing from a Universal Windows Platform app, and reasons why things are done a certain way. Then we'll walk through practical printing scenarios, and by the time we get done with that session, you'll have a solid understanding of not just the flow, but the elements that are involved in previewing print content and actually printing content. And then, as always, we'll finish up with some great next steps.
