- [Instructor] Like most topics in this series, any one of these could have an entire session devoted to it. And cloud-connected services is no exception. So instead of tryin' to give a high-level overview of everything related to cloud-connected services, I'm going to focus in this session on a number of topics that I think are the more common scenarios that developers run into when creating apps with Universal Windows Platform. Here's what we're going to take a look at. Number one, we're going to go over some of the concepts of connected services. Connected services are kind of used generically, but there's also an actual term Connected Service that's used within the Universal Windows Platform.
And then we're going to talk about Azure Storage and storage authorization. And then we're going to take a look at Azure Table Storage and actually go into Visual Studio and update our Universal Windows Platform Tagger app with some table storage access to get a handle on working with Table Storage. And then we're going to do the same thing with Blob Storage, which is sometimes called Object Storage. The concepts around Blob Storage are a little bit obscure sometimes for developers. We're going to take a look at working with Blob Storage and the cool Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer that's available to help you manage your Azure Blob Storage.
And then we're going to update and even migrate some of our Table Storage code to use Blob Storage. And then in the world of connected services, to me there's none that are more powerful than the Microsoft Graph services, and Graph API. Instead of focusing heavily on a lot of enterprise concepts, instead I'm going to focus on some of the newer, personal Microsoft Graph concepts, now that the Live SDK and One Drive SDKs have been migrated over to Microsoft Graph, where we can now access graph resources from a school, work, or personal account.
We're going to take a look at the endpoints that are exposed by Microsoft Graph authentication and then integrate Microsoft Graph services into our Universal Window's Platform app. And then, as always, we'll finish up with some great next steps.
