- [Instructor] There are three main stages to the Windows Autopilot process. Devices are purchased from a vendor, administrators setup and manage Windows Autopilot and mobile device management, and then devices are delivered to the end users ready for device deployment and configuration. For this section, we'll be reviewing the administrator's role in managing Windows Autopilot and mobile device management or MDM. During this walkthrough, you'll see the order in which administrators setup devices for Windows Autopilot deployment. This starts with registering device hardware IDs, creating deployment profiles, followed by assigning deployment profiles, and finally using mobile device management for devices and apps to insure they meet corporate requirements. Each device has a device hardware ID which is used by Windows Autopilot to identify the devices.
