- [Narrator] In this section, we're going to talk about creating an image of your Windows 10 PC. This image will contain all of your documents as well as your applications and the Windows 10 operating system files. From the start menu, I'd like to open up the backup and restore control panel. So I'll just type in backup. And one of the options that will come up is backup and restore control panel. It also notes that it was originally designed in Windows 7. In this interface to the left hand side I have the option to create a system image. The first thing is going to ask me is where would I like to save the backup? Or in other words, where would I like to create the image? The image will be a fairly large file. So you want to select someplace where you have a large amount of disc space. We can put it on a hard drive on one or more DVDs or what I'm going to do in a network location.
