- [Instructor] We need to give our users who travel with laptops an alternative way to access the internet besides using public Wi-Fi. Phones come with built-in cellular service out to the internet and we can use the cellular service to create a hotspot for our laptops. We can also use tablets and computers that have built-in cell plans, so when you go to buy your tablet or computer, you can pay an additional fee, as well as an additional monthly fee, to use the built-in cell card to go out to the internet and bypass wireless publicly, and even privately, altogether if you choose. And the cell service is known as a hotspot, but if you don't want to use your phone for this you could get what's called a MiFi device. And what this does is it allows for groups of people to all connect using Wi-Fi on the MiFi device securely, and then the MiFi device goes out to the internet using cell service and there is a monthly free for…
