Create a connection security rule

- In an earlier movie, we explored Windows Firewall With Advanced Security, where you saw the inbound and outbound rules areas. These rules apply to connections such as those created by applications like Remote Desktop and Hyper-V. I'll open it now to show you. I'll select Windows Defender Firewall With Advanced Security from the list. There are a lot of inbound and outbound rules already in place, and you can create your own. Here are some of the inbound rules and here are some of the outbound rules. The Connection Security Rules area doesn't have anything in it though, that's because you create those rules yourself, and they define how authentication occurs and under what circumstances. You create a rule by right-clicking inside the empty pane, and then clicking new rule. There are lots of types of rules you can create. Let's talk a little about each one.
