Demo: Extracting device hardware IDs

- [Instructor] Let's see some demonstrations of how to configure Windows AutoPilot from the viewpoint of an administrator. Administrations need to preform several pre deployment configuration tasks when setting up Windows AutoPilot, these include extracting device hardware IDs, uploading device hardware IDs, creating deployment profiles and then deploying devices to users. Unless the devices vendor completes this task for us, we'll need to extract device hardware IDs using Windows PowerShell. We can use the Windows PowerShell script shown on screen. Let's view the initial configuration steps in more detail now by dropping into our demo PC. We'll start with how to extract device hardware IDs. I've booted the PC and on the region page I'll press shift and F10 to launch a command prompt window. I'll then type powershell.
