- [Instructor] Let's drop onto our demo PC and see how to grade a Windows 7 PC to Windows 10. First, I need to download the Media Creation Tool. I'll open a browser and do a search for Windows 10 mct. And then click Download Windows 10. I need to download the tool. And then I'll run the tool. The tool automatically detects our system, the architecture, and the locale. I'll confirm the license agreement. And then decide do we want to upgrade this PC now or create installation media on either USB flash drive, DVD, or download an ISO file? And then we can perform the upgrade at last stage. I want to perform an in-place upgrade, so I'll select upgrade, and then click next. The tool will then download the latest version of Windows 10. We'll speed up the video at this point. The download is then verified, and then reassembled into media that Windows can use to upgrade the PC. Notice that during this download and processing period you can still continue to use your PC.
