- [Narrator] In this video, I'll look at some of the interesting effects that you can make with an opacity mask. We'll start by looking at this file, swirl window. It has two grids, there's the main grid and it has a linear gradient brush that goes from red to black and there is another grid that has a gradient that goes from purple to a orange color. Now, this second grid is super imposed over top of the first grid. What I'll do, is I'll apply an opacity mask so I can start seeing through the one gradient and see the colors of the second gradient that's behind it. And rather than doing a gradient brush for the opacity mask, I'll use an image brush. And the images I'll be working with are shown here. They're these geometry brushes, they're these black and white patterns. Actually, I shouldn't say black and white because what looks like white on this screen, is actually a transparent color.
