- [Instructor] When you work remotely on data stored elsewhere, either in the cloud, on a network server or in your own personal computer, there's always a chance the connection will be interrupted. When this happens, the data can't sync in real time and this might cause a sync conflict. Thus, a sync conflict happens when two exact documents each stored on different devices don't match. Let's look at Sync Center on my laptop. I have a sync partnership with a folder on a network computer. Sync results shows the last sync. Sync conflicts shows any problems. If there were a problem, I'd right click and choose a resolution. My options would include keeping the file on the laptop and syncing it to the remote computer, keeping the file on the remote computer and syncing that one to my laptop, or keeping a copy of both.
