Implement encryption
- [Narrator] Encryption is the process of converting data into code. And is used to prevent unauthorized access to both data and entire drives. Encryption uses keys to lock and unlock the data and both keys must be available for access. You can enable basic encryption on all Windows operating systems. And you can use BitLocker on Windows Pro, Enterprise and Education. Basic encryption can be applied by right clicking a file or folder and choosing the encryption option. This is the type of encryption general home users apply. It's easy. Just right click the folder to encrypt and choose Properties. From the General tab, click Advanced. And here, in the Compress and Encrypt attributes section, place a check in encrypt contents to secure data, and click okay. You would click okay, but I'm going to go ahead and click cancel.
