- [Instructor] Printing from a home office or remote office location generates the most amount of phone calls and emails to system administrators. Let's take a look at how they connect and what's supported. In local printing, if you're printing from USB, it's usually pretty easy to do, provided you have the correct drivers. You may have driver issues that may be causing problems such as not being able to print in color. If you VPN into your office or use work folders or sync data, you simply open the documents in Word or Excel or whatever program you're using on the local computer and hit the print button. There's a couple of ways to print documents through network printing. You can have a network ethernet cable going to a network printer in another part of your home office, or you could use VPN or Remote Desktop to print to a network printer in the corporate office while sitting in your home office.
