Long-term servicing channel

- [Instructor] When feature updates aren't necessary, and when the machine is a specialized one doing only a single job, the Long Term Servicing Channel is a better choice than Semi-Annual. The Long Term Channel only offers quality updates that keep the device secure. There are no feature updates. This option is available because some computer systems, such as those that run ATMs, medical equipment, data storage servers, and point-of-cell systems, oftentimes do not require feature updates, nor do they benefit from interface enhancements. In fact, changes like these could make using the device difficult for those that interact with it. To use the Long Term Servicing Channel, the device must be installed with the Enterprise Long Term Servicing Branch edition of Windows, which is only available through the Microsoft Volume Licensing Center.
