Managing deployment profiles

- [Instructor] Once you've registered device hardware IDs with the Windows Autopilot deployment service, you're ready for the next phase. This is to set up and manage your deployment profiles. A deployment profile is used to customize the out of box experience, or OOBE for your end users. The profile will contain settings that will determine the behavior of the new device when it's first set up. When an end user receives their device and connects it to the internet, the device hardware ID will be automatically recognized by the Windows Autopilot service. The deployment profile will then be deployed to the device. Know that if a new profile is created, this will not affect existing devices. Such devices will only receive the new profile if they are reset. Examples of setting for deployment profiles include show or hide end user license agreements, show or hide the setting for privacy, show or hide change account options, and set account type such as administrator, or standard user.
