- [Presenter] In previous versions of Windows and Office updating has been optional, which has led it to become fragmented and at times unreliable. With Microsoft 365 Business all components are updated in a consistent, synchronized, and automated manner. Your system needs to be kept up-to-date with security patches and updates, which help to guard against security threats. On a regular basis both Windows 10 and Office will also receive feature updates, which offer new functionality for your users. Office 365 ProPlus and Windows 10 updating has been aligned together and now use a modern servicing model for updates. This means that updates are released regularly, often on a monthly basis, and this includes security, bug fixes, and incremental feature updates. Automatic updates are enabled by default for Office 365 ProPlus. The Office app installed on your devices will check for updates on a regular basis.
