NVRAM reset to fix many basic problems

- [Tutor] Performing an NVRAM Reset is a very common Macintosh troubleshooting technique. Let's take a look at PRAM versus NVRAM. PRAM stands for Parameter Random Access Memory and that's a small amount of memory that stores various different settings in a Macintosh operating system that can be accessed quickly such as mouse settings, speaker, volume virtual memory, screen resolution, and others. Newer Macs no longer use PRAM instead use NVRAM, or non-volatile random access memory. NVRAM serves basically the same purpose as PRAM, storing these information such as start-up disk selection and recent kernel panic information among other things. If your Mac is not booting correctly, or one of the functions listed in that section is acting strangely, you can perform a simple reset of your Mac's NVRAM PRAM Resetting the Mac's NVRAM PRAM is going to reset the data stored to its default settings.
