Performing a clean installation

- [Instructor] Whilst the in-place upgrade for Windows 10 offers great functionality by copying over user settings, applications, and drivers it can also copy over lots of unwanted items too. For this reason you may choose to perform a clean installation of Windows 10, which will provide you with a new, fresh system install. To perform a clean installation of Windows 10 you'll need to download the Windows 10 installation media. You can obtain the software from Microsoft if you have a valid software subscription or you can use the media creation tool, which will provide you with the current version of Windows 10. The installation media can be downloaded as an ISO file and then saved to a local hard drive, burnt to a DVD, saved on a network share, or used as portable flash drive.
