- [Instructor] Windows Servers and clients can all be susceptible to phishing attacks because an email that attempts to phish for a user to download their malware can infect every system in a network. A hacker sends out an email to phish for a bite and once they get one, they try to reel them in using several different techniques. The hacker may then gain control and steal, delete, encrypt, or hold for ransom any data that they find. So how do they do it? Well, they start by embedding a link in an email. That's a very popular way of phishing. And embedding a link in an email will redirect your employee to an unsecured website that requests sensitive information, which we will then enter, thinking it's a legitimate site, such as a banking site. Can also get it through viruses attached to an email. Installing a Trojan via malicious email attachment or ad allows the intruder to exploit loopholes and obtain sensitive information.…
