Planning mobile device security
- There were three core mobile security features available in Microsoft Intune. The first one is Encryption. Intune can manage a devices built in disk or drive encryption to protect data on the devices. You can configure disk encryption, as part of a device configuration profile for Endpoint Protection. The following platforms and encryption technologies are supported by Intune Mac OS, which would utilize FileVault, and Windows 10, and later, utilizing BitLocker. The second security feature is Conditional Access. Conditional Access refers to ways you can control the devices that apps that are allowed to connect to your email and company resources. Lastly, is Threat Protection. Intune uses a Mobile Threat Defense Connector to create a channel of communication between Intune, and then your chosen Mobile Threat defense vendor.
