- [Teacher] When you're finished using an application, you should quit it. I'm starting to here with three applications open. I have Edge, I have the Maps application and I have File Explorer. And I want you to see when an application is running it will appear in the taskbar and it will have a line underneath it. That line tells me that that application is running. In most cases, you can just click the X button in the top-right corner of a window and it will close that window, which also quits that application. The window closes and the line is no longer under the icon in the taskbar. The icon is still here because this is one of the shortcuts that I have pinned to the taskbar, making it easy to launch later. We'll see how to choose which shortcut stay here permanently in another movie. Okay. Here's another way to quit an application.
