Securing data using Intune
- [Narrator] You can use Microsoft Intune to implement data and app protection with App Protection Policies. Often, on an end user's personal device, the device will be configured to automatically backup device data to the platform backup service, such as iCloud. You can configure app protection policies to manage the location of data backups. In this way, you can ensure that any corporate data cannot be automatically backed up to locations that are not controlled by the company. These settings can be managed in the Client App section of Intune. App protection policies also allow you to configure data sharing options, such as controlling sharing between apps. You can select five different settings ranging from None, to allowing sending corporate data to any app. You can also control the receiving of data from other apps using similar settings.
