- [Instructor] Wireless connectivity problems occur infrequently but when they do, you should always check for the most common solutions first. Most of the time, especially for laptop users, it's disabled Wi-Fi. It's easy to check to see if Wi-Fi is disabled on a laptop. All you have to do is click the Network icon and take a look at the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom left corner. You can see here, my Wi-Fi icon is gray. This means Wi-Fi is disabled. I'll click to enable it. The same holds true for airplane mode. If the airplane mode icon is gray, that's good. That means airplane mode is not on. If it's blue, it is. You can see here airplane mode is gray so we're good to go. If this doesn't resolve your network problem, the next step is to see if a network adaptor is installed or if the wireless adaptor has been disabled. Let's start by opening the Network and Sharing Center. There are lots of ways to do this but one way is to right click the Network icon and click Open Network and Internet…
