Use ipconfig to troubleshoot network connectivity

- [Instructor] If you've ever received an error that has to do with an IP address, especially one that states there's no IP address conflict on the network, you might not have known how to resolve it. Your best bet is to use the ipconfig command. You can use this command at a command prompt or by using Windows PowerShell. I'll use Powershell here. You can open this by searching for it from the taskbar. Type PowerShell and in the results click Windows PowerShell. Make sure not to click any of the other options here if you're going to follow along with me. Go ahead, and type ipconfig, and press enter to get some basic information about your own IP addresses. My IP address is 192.168 2.135 because each host on a network needs a unique IP address, the first thing you'll want to do if your having IP problems is to release that address and renew it, provided you're using DHCP.
