Welcome

- [Walt] Welcome to my Windows Presentation Foundation Layout course. Join me as I continue my series, this time exploring the layout principles that help sophisticated application interfaces. Modern UI demands attention to detail and a good eye for arranging the interface, so that the UI enhances the application workflow. WPF has an excellent system that handles any layout scenario. And that's what I'll investigate in this course. I start with an overview of the layout panels and how they work within the element tree to handle the composing their children elements. I look at the six core panels, the stacked panel, wrap panel and dock panel. And the grid, uniform grid and canvas. Finally I investigate how move beyond the built-in panels and make custom panels, which give you precise control over arranging elements in any pattern you desire.
