- [Instructor] I want to walk you through the Windows Autopilot Process, from end to end, so that when your user receives their new Windows 10 device it can be configured straight out of the box. Let's review the steps that occur when a vendor supplies the device hardware IDs to an administrator who then registers the devices using Microsoft Intune viz the Microsoft 365 Business admin center. The Windows Autopilot Process includes three main components, the hardware vendor, the IT department, and the end user. Devices are purchased from a vendor who supplies a list of device hardware IDs to the purchasing IT department. The device hardware IDs are then uploaded and then administrators create and deploy device deployment profiles. The vendor sends the devices to the end users, who then sign in using their Azure Active Directory accounts to connect their new devices to the network and the devices are then auto-enrolled and configured.
