- [Instructor] Let's take a moment to review some of the tips and tricks I've used with Autopilot. These can help you more easily manage devices when you use Windows Autopilot in a large deployment. Within Autopilot, devices are always listed by their hardware device ID. This can be non-intuitive because the ID makes it difficult to locate a specific device. However, within Microsoft Intune, there is some excellent search abilities available, allowing you to search by items including the IMEI, the serial number, email, UPN, device name, or management name of the device. So for example, once you've located the device within Intune, you can use a serial number to search for the device within Autopilot. In Autopilot, you can create device groups which were assigned device profiles. Once a group has been created, devices are then added to groups.
