- [Instructor] Let's see how Windows Autopilot works in more detail by walking through the process. For this example, the vendor has supplied the device hardware IDs to an administrator who then uses Microsoft Intune to upload them to the Autopilot service. He'll then create and manage the device settings. There are three key roles within this Autopilot scenario; the hardware vendor, the IT Department, and the end user. Devices are first purchased from a vendor. There are a number of mainstream hardware vendors who've already signed up to support Windows Autopilot and these include Dell, HP, and Linovo. Additional vendors are expected to come on board as the feature becomes commonplace. The hardware vendor creates a list of device IDs for the new devices. This list is either uploaded directly to the partner center and synced to the Autopilot service, or, in our case, it's sent in a CSV file to the IT Department of the purchasing organization who will then upload it into Intune, which…
