Windows Autopilot
- [Instructor] Windows Autopilot allows Windows 10 devices to be configured straight out of the box. Devices do not need to be imaged or prepared, they can be simply handed to the end user. Devices are automatically provisioned when an end-user signs into the device using an Azure Active Directory account, which is part of your Microsoft 365 Business subscription. The Windows Autopilot service uses Azure Active Directory to provide cloud-based identity management, and a service such as Microsoft Intune or the Microsoft Store for Business to manage the device enrollment process. Autopilot is designed to set up new Windows 10 devices, but it can also be used to reset and repurpose existing devices. Windows Autopilot works by registering the hardware IDs of new devices, and then pre-configuring settings, ready for when the user connects their new device to the corporate network.
