- [Instructor] Authentication is basically just the way you log into an access point. What length of password, if any, is required, are you going to require multifactor authentication? Which authentication method is being used if any? You want the user to use the longest possible password with the strongest MFA options. The encryption level has to be set to Advanced Encryption Service or AES, but then you have the option for pre-shared key or the enterprise option. For remote users, pre-shared key will be the only option since there is no radius server for authentication. One way to increase security for the users to hide the SSID that is normally broadcasted and tells you where the access point is and how far away it is based on signal strength. It won't stop determined hackers because the packets that go through the air all contain the SSID in them, but it will stop less experienced one from seeing your access point and…
