- Now that you have all the necessary tools to start live broadcasting over the Internet it's up to you to figure out what to do with them. The technical knowledge of going live is only half the battle. The real challenge is coming up with something worth sharing with your audience. Before you go live, think about what you want to share and how you want to present it. There's certainly a novelty to going live. But once the magic of, hey, look at me, I'm on YouTube goes away it's still best to do something that people will be actually interested in watching. Always consider your audience. Are they being engaged, or entertaining enough to keep them interested? Are you taking them somewhere they wouldn't have seen otherwise? It's always good practice to acknowledge your audience. Ask them what they think and encourage them to make comments. And definitely identify some of your commenters by name. People will often keep watching just in hopes of being seen themselves.
