- [Patrick] Now that you're familiar with the different aspects of each platform, whether they're hosted or self-hosted, comprehensive or distinct, or customizable or easy to use, you have useful lenses to look at each platform. And for some clients, using just those lenses will be enough to pick a platform, but for clients who have specific needs, we went in deep, talking about questions that you can ask them, specifically questions about their products, taxes, shipping and marketing. Now it's time to ask your client those questions and get as much information from them as possible to help you pick the best platform. Once you do pick a platform, I strongly recommend building a simple test site at first and getting your client to sign off. The switching costs in e-commerce are very high so you want to make sure that you get the platform right before building the entire site. With that, get out there, good luck and happy selling.
