- [Narrator] In addition to the axis we talked about earlier, which give you an idea of what platform you want, sometimes you have hard requirements. Some platforms can handle some types of product really well and others can't handle them at all. So we're going to look into some of the common product types to give you some rules of thumb to help you pick a platform. Just about every platform can handle physical products really well. So if you're selling coffee cups, T-shirts, and pens, you can pick just about any platform and skip this chapter. But, some types of products are a little bit more complicated. Digital products require some extra consideration, and subscriptions and memberships require a ton of extra work and consideration. Going back to one of the concepts from earlier in the course, if you use a platform that has everything built in, a comprehensive platform, then you need to make sure that they meet all of your needs.
