Add and edit document properties

- [Narrator] You can add a lot of value to your documents by adding document properties. Now, document properties are captured as soon as you create a document. Things such as the author, whoever created the document, is captured right away by Word. There are other properties that you can add on top of what Word is already tracking. One of them is the subject of the document. You can also insert the status. Is it the final draft? Is is the first draft? Et cetera. Once you have entered document properties, you can then insert that information into your document, so if in your header or footer you'd like to show who the author of the document is, it's easy to insert that and I'm going to show you how to do that in this video. On the Word 2016 MOS Exam, you're probably going to come across a couple of document property questions.
