- [Instructor] Whenever you share documents with others, whether it be via email as an attachment or in the cloud using OneDrive, SharePoint, etc., security can always be a concern. Are others going to be able to intercept your file and get access to it? If it's important that only the people you're sharing with have access to your file, you might consider encrypting it with password protection. That's what we're going to explore in this movie with our Tech Connect09 document. Now, you can apply password protection to a file before you share it or after you share it, for example, storing it online using OneDrive or SharePoint. If you do change the document to include a password you'll need to inform people you've shared the document with that it is password protected and give the people who need to have the password the password.
