Change the default font for new documents

- [Instructor] In this week's work tip, I'd like to answer a question I've been asked many times, and that is can I change the default font that appears every time I create a new blank document here in Microsoft Word. If you're one of these people who every time you start a new blank document go up to the font group here on the ribbon, click the dropdown, choose a font that you prefer to use, change the size, perhaps even, and then continue working on your new document, and if you're doing this every, single time, you can see how it would get tedious, there is an answer. You can edit the template that is used for new blank documents, the .dotm template called normal, and that's what we're going to do. The good news is you don't even have to open up the template to make the change. You can do it right from your document. Once you've made your changes up here, all you have to do is go to the font arrow here in the bottom, right-hand corner to expand this to display the font dialog. Now…
