- [Instructor] These are dozens of options you can configure in Word 2016. The ones that we're going to focus on in this video are how to customize the Ribbon, how to set your Auto Recovery time increments, proofing options, hyphens to dashes, macros, and application default font. Let's take a look at our document, the 02_05 Options. Let's first take a look at how we can custommize the Ribbon. You might want to add your development tab to your Ribbon so that you have access to recording macros, your form controls, and restricting editing. I'm going to right-click anywhere on the tab and go down to Customize the Ribbon. On the right-hand side I see all of the tabs that are currently showing. I'm going to check off Developer and click OK, and here's my Developer tab, macros, form controls, and your restrict editing. So now you know the steps to do that.
