- [Instructor] In my work, one of the things that I need to do is be able to take transcripts that have come out of a transcripting program and massage them so that they look more like Word documents. This is what Transcript looks like when I open it. It's a text document and it just takes up lots of space. If I click to show the paragraph marks, you'll see what the problem is. I have lots of places where I have not one, but two, paragraph marks at the end of a paragraph. And that's not unusual because this is the way we used to type documents. But every sentence here is its own paragraph. What I'd like to do is get rid of them. Every time there are two, I want to get rid of one of them. I'm going to do that with Replace. So I'm going to click Replace and where it says Find what, I'm going to open this up and indicate that what I'd like to do is look for a special character and that the character is a Paragraph Mark.
