- [Instructor] Let's talk about how to create and manage Quick Parts. You may be wondering what a Quick Part is, but you're already using them if you have ever created an AutoText entry, or if you have used headers, footers, and text boxes in your documents. We are going to review how to create an AutoText entry, and also, how to create a new Quick Part. We'll take our header that's currently in our document and save it to the Quick Parts gallery so that we'll have access to it in any other document that we're working in. Let's jump into our 05_01 Quick Parts document and get started. Let's first create an AutoText entry. Now, AutoText entries can be a single word, or a whole paragraph of information that you consistently use throughout your documents. If you need a way to quickly insert that information in without opening a document, copying and pasting it into another document, then AutoText is the tool that you want to use.
