- [Woman] Creating a table of contents in Word 2016 should be a basic concept for you and it's probably something that you're already doing. I do want to show you how to customize a table of contents. We're going to look at our current table of contents in our document and see how the table of contents is totally based on the styles that were applied to each of the strings of text. Next, we're going to apply styles to additional text so that we can update our table of contents. It's a very easy process as long as you stay with the styles that are built into that document. Let's go ahead and go into our document. It's the O four O two TOC document. This is our Two Trees Olive Oil Employee Manual. I'm going to scroll down. We have a nice Welcome Letter and on page three, here is our table of contents. It's already been created. We'll scroll down and on our first page click on Section One and going to our home ribbon, we can see that Heading One has been applied to the Section One…
