- [Instructor] Macros are recordings of a repetitive task that you can easily run with a keystroke. They can be very helpful in applying formatting or doing any other repetitive task. However they can also contain malicious code and therefore we want to be mindful of how Word opens documents that contain macros. After watching this video you'll know how to configure Word to disable all macros without notification, disable macros with notification, disable all macros except for those that are digitally signed, and how to enable all macros. Let's take a look at our Enable_Macros document. This document has a macro in it and that's why I'm receiving the security warning Macros have been disabled.
