- [Instructor] Knowing how to use find and replace text in Microsoft Word is a basic concept. Even though it's basic, please keep in mind, you might see a question on the MOS exam asking you to find text and replace it. I'm going to show you how you can find special characters such as tabs and spaces and replace them with either nothing, just to remove the character, or with another character. I'll also show you how you can go throughout an entire document, find a particular style, and replace it with another style. Let's go ahead and take a look at our document, 03_01 Find and Replace. In this document, the formatting is such that each paragraph begins with a tabbed or indented line. I want to go ahead and remove that indentation. Ctrl + H will get me into my Find and Replace window. I'm going to go ahead and clear the settings that are currently in there for both of them. No formatting, no formatting, we'll clear that right out. So what we're looking for is a tab character. Let's go…
