- [Instructor] During the Word 2016 MOS exam being able to quickly remove and apply formatting to a document will help you complete formatting questions in less time thus giving you more time if you need it on the more difficult questions on the exam. In this video we're going to learn how to format text using the Format Painter. First I'll show you how to clear formatting from selected text and then we'll see how easy it is to copy and paste that formatting using that great painter tool. I have the 03_04 document open so let's jump right in. What I want to do is highlight using that great virtual highlighter tool and I highlight Globe Bank International. Go ahead and select that text. Go up to my highlighter tool. Let's do a bright green and the data's been highlighted. Now, what if I wanted to go ahead and apply this same formatting, in other words, the highlighter that I applied, down to Employee Manual?
