- [Instructor] In this week's Word tip, I'd like to show you a function I wish I'd known about long ago, when I used to create sample documents. Documents that could be used for demos, for example, that didn't contain real data or content but gave the viewer an idea of what the document would look like. So we're going to start with a new, blank document. At any new paragraph, you can add random text using a command that's built into Word. Just start with the equal sign. Type in rand, R-A-N-D, as in random. And then an open round bracket and a closing round bracket. Press enter, and you'll see five paragraphs of random text. It's text you can actually read and understand, but it's just random text. And this is Word giving it to you. So you can see what the document looks like with the current settings, using this random text. All right, let's select everything. I'm going to use control A, and delete to remove everything.
