- [Voiceover] Sometimes we have data in another Word document or in another program that we need to reference. I'm going to demonstrate how to import data from an Excel worksheet and link it back to the worksheet, so that if any changes are made to the Excel document, our Word document will be updated when we refresh the link. I'll also walk you through inserting text from a Word document, and linking it back to the original document. You can also import and link data back to a PDF file or an Access database. Let's take a look at the documents that I have open. First, I have my Excel worksheet with the room rates on it. I also have a separate Microsoft Word document called About, that has information about our new Landon Hotel. The third document that I have open is our original 02_04 Import document.
