- [Instructor] Templates provide the design consistency that any organization, or an individual, needs to look professional. After watching this video you'll know how to save a document as a new template, modify an existing template, and how to modify the Normal dot template. We'll go in and we will change the default font on our Normal template so any new documents we open going forward will have that new font attached to it. Now first, how do we create a new document from a template? Well, you have thousands of templates that are installed in your Word program if you're working on the desktop, and if you're working in Office 365 you have access to the same amount, if not more, just by logging into your account.
