- [Instructor] In this week's Word tip, we're going to look at a feature that not many people are aware of. It allows you to see paragraph style formatting in the left-hand margin, so you always know what's being used in a document you might be looking at. This is especially helpful for those in publishing who may be sending their work to a professional publisher. So the first step is to have a document open. If you have the exercise files, open up Best of Landon Hotel Guide 048. You can see here I'm actually on the second page, and at the very top we have The Best of Landon Hotel, the title. Now to see this we need to switch views. Let's go up to the view tab, and now we'll switch to draft view. The next step is to set up our left margin to display the paragraph styles. To do that we go up to file, select options, and this is an advanced option, so we'll select advanced here on the left hand side, scroll down the page to the display section.
