- [Instructor] Many people are familiar with the traditional mail merge you can perform here in Microsoft Word, taking a list of contacts from Outlook or another source, merging it with a document you create here in Word, like a form letter, merge them together, print them out, maybe create labels or envelopes using that same contact list, and then mail them off. Well, there is another option not everyone is aware of. It's the mass e-mail merge that you can perform here in Microsoft Word, that's what we're going to do in this week's work tip. We'll start with a new blank document. The next step is to start the mail merge by going to the Mailings tab. You'll see a Start Mail Merge button over here on the left-hand side, it's a dropdown. Give it a click, you'll see the traditional Letters, Envelopes, Labels, et cetera, but there's E-mail Messages second from the top, give that a click, and all of our page formatting disappears.
