Simulate the merge
- [Instructor] I've opened the final version of our Merge Brochure. Remember that you can preview results quickly and easily. If you want to find a particular recipient to make sure that their letter was handled appropriately, you can look in all fields or in a specific field to find that particular person, that's a way to check for exceptions. Someone who perhaps doesn't have a last name, someone who's missing information from their address or a postal code in a different country. The other thing you can do is you can simply ask where to check for errors. If you click Check For Errors, you have some choices here. The first is to simulate the merge. Go through the steps necessary to do the merge, and then in another document, tell me if there were errors. So let's do that first. No mail merge errors have been found, therefore no new document.
