The importance of conflict

- In this tutorial, we're going to take a look at conflict. This is the thing that moves every story forward. If you have no conflict, you have no drama. And really you don't have a story. At beginning of The Exorcist of the preset All right, you pesky demon, hit the road and the demon just left. There would be no story. Or if the Wicked Queen in Snow White was totally cool, with someone else was being the fairest of them all. Then, there would be no story. Stories move forward because of conflict. The most important kind of conflict is the opposition that protagonist faces in achieving their objective. Of this, if this source of the conflict is weak the whole movie becomes weak. Because of this most movies have an antagonist. An antagonist is a person that stands diametrically oppose to the protagonist. They have mutually exclusive objectives if the protagonist wins The antagonist loses and vice versa. This is probably most obvious in big super hero movies like Spiderman or Superman…
